Sick Again

Onions and a cold…
It is true. I would rather eat an onion than be sick. For some that doesn’t say much. Like my wife, she loves to eat onions. I hate to eat them, and I hate to watch her eat them. So for me to eat an onion, I would have to have a pretty good reason. If I could eat an onion right now and take away the stuffy nose, snot, and continuous loopy head ache, I would eat an onion right now.

So what about you…
What is the one thing that you hate, but you would rather do that than be sick? Would you rather run a mile, or pluck your eyebrows, or eat mushrooms? I don’t know, but tell me what you think would be awful but not as bad as being sick. That is what I would like to know from you, the reader.

Hillary beat up Obama

Obama got beat up
I had an idea.
What if Obama and Hillary got in a fist fight? I mean bloody knuckles and all. Like Obama starts calling Hillary names and then she starts swingin’. Talk about great live TV! Couldn’t you see all the reporters gathering around them shouting “fight, fight!” I mean that would be something to go down in the history books I tell you.

Who Would Win?
That is the real question. It would be awesome to see them fight but who would win. Could Hillary beat Obama? Or would Obama lay the smack down on Hillary. I would like to take a poll. Please leave your comment as to who would win the battle. Thanks.

Water in the Bucket
I went outside today
I had to take out a bunch of trash to the dumpster first thing. On my way out to the dumpster I noticed something incredible. To most people in this part of the country it happens all the time. But for this florida boy it made me start thinking.

Ice on the ground
There was a whole bunch of it. I mean it was everywhere. So I played around on it a little and it was super duper incredibly slippery. So here is where my question comes in…would it be wrong to take a whole lot of water and pour it on the concrete in front  of someone’s house while they are sleeping. They wake up in the morning and the wonder of nature will have created a vast ocean of ice between them and thier car. Pure genius, I know.

 Would it be wrong?
I kind of already know the answer to the question. It is just fun to think about. And to all of you teenagers out there, don’t go running to find a bucket and then try to blame this one on the youth pastor! It was just a thought.

I Hate Running

Runner
I Hate Running
I would rather lift weights, do sit ups, or pull nose hairs before I would like to run. I don’t know why but I hate it! Some people love it. They would just love to wake up early get all suited up and then run out the door for a three mile jog. Me, No.

Why Running?
I am not going for a jog, or joining a fitness club. I didn’t buy a treadmill or sign up for a triathlon. My life just feels like a marathon right now. Get it. Yeah I have been going pretty hard the last few days and I am tired. The end is no where in sight. But I know that God is in control. Like I said my life is busy, thus the reason this blog is so short!

AHHHHHHH!

Dancing with Scaffolding

Scaffolding
The Lights Are Up!
I didn’t really expect to have them up by now. It is really Pastor Terry’s fault that they are up. Fault in a good way. Yesterday I was prepping the lights to be hung and he suggested we go ahead and put them in place. 8 hours later and much help from Kenny Fields, we have lights. I am totally excited about them.

The Dancing Part
We danced with the scaffolding all night long. We moved this here and that there. We moved chairs and wires. We moved air vents and almost broke the gym lights. What a night. Oh and did I mention that I probably climbed up and down the scaffolding about a hundred times. My back is sore.

Push The Button
Green. Red. Blue. Strobe. Fades. Yeah all at the push of a button. It is way cool. We will have to do some tweaking but it should make for some cool effects in our shower curtain city.

Progress is Fast and Slow
When I saw the lights hung, it made me think we were moving along. Then in the same thought almost fighting for the same brain time, it made me think we were so far behind. Rome was not built in a day but I am sure they wanted it to be. The next step is building up the back wall, then a new projector and we will have ourselves a very nice room.

SuperBowl or SuperBoring?

Eli Manning
The Giants Won
I know Thaniel was happy tonight, but me not so much. I was riding the wave of hope tonight after turnovers, interceptions, missed kicks, and overtime opportunities. So the Giants won and are headed to face the patriots in the biggest game in the world.

Why Am I Sad?
Mainly because I really like Brett Favre. But the other side of that sadness comes from the eminent beating that the Giants will receive from the Patriots. There is no way the Giants can handle the Patriots. If they do, I will apologize. But for now I will stand confidently on this side of Feb. 3rd and predict.
SuperBoring
So for now I think the superbowl could be good for its commercials but not for its match up. I think we will sit around and halfway through forget there is a game on. I think within the first half, the Patriots will take a commanding lead and poor Eli will be left in the dust. (That was for you Thaniel)

Your Thoughts
I would love to hear what you think. Maybe you don’t care about the superbowl or maybe you do. Let me know what you think about the coming confrontation between the Patriots and the Giants.

Rocketman

One of the Best
If you are considering a Saturday Night rental, I have the perfect choice. We watched Rocketman last night again and every-time I watch that movie I love it even more. You should really consider checking it out. If you like stupid humor, then this is the perfect laugh your head of comedy.

Movie Review
For fear of sounding like a  movie review, I will let you judge for yourself whether or not you like the movie. Or if you want to watch it with me that would work too. Just be prepared for me to “over” laugh most of the night.

Description
I couldn’t resist putting the actual synopsis on here. Tell me what you think about it.

Movie Synopsis
The space program suffers a major setback in the form of bungling aeronautics engineer Fred Z. Randall, who, despite his conceptual smarts, can’t quite hack it as an astronaut because of his clumsiness. But when the first manned mission to Mars is short a man, Fred springs into action, much to dismay of his chagrined fellow crew members, who endure Fred’s interplanetary flatulence and sock puppet plays.

Tennessee Map
TE, double N, E, double S, now double E…spell that out for me.
I am really amazed at how close we are to other states. I know basic geography will tell you that Arkansas borders many other states, but I just can’t get used to it. It amazes me that within just a couple hours I can be in like five different states.

Florida
As long as we are talking geography, Florida is a peninsula. Which means it is surrounded by water on three sides! So the only states Florida is close to is Georgia. It amazes me the difference.

Wolfchase
So we are headed across the state line today to get to one of those close states. We are headed to Tennessee to get fitted for wedding apparel. My sister is getting married, and so we are getting a dress for Tara and a tux for me. Make no mistake on which is for whom.

Here is the Question?
If someone threatens the honor of your wife, beat him down right? So if that person was one of my teenagers in Thrive? Should I show mercy or beat him mercilessly? I think we should have a poll. So we shall!

Comments Please
All those in favor of me beating up these teen, please comment and tell me so. If you think I should be nice to him and let it slide. Let me know by comment too!

 Just So You Know
Thaniel, if you are reading this, I just want you to know that either way the comments go, I am probably gonna beat you up regardless. Just thought you out to know.
